Connectivity

Wits relies on Eduroam to manage access to the WiFi network.  Please ensure that you have your university's Eduroam credentials setup on your devices before you leave your home campus.  Eduroam is now accessible in South African airports, which is another good reason to set up your credentials.  There is also 30 minutes of free wifi available from AlwaysOn at the airport.

If you don't have decent roaming it's probably a good idea to pick up a SIM card and some data when you arrive.  You can do that from the Vodacom shop in the Arrivals Hall.  It will cost you about R115 and include some airtime.  You can also buy Sim cards from most Checkers or PnP stores, but you'll need to show your passport details.  Data can be purchased from the same stores.
