Mark Benton is a well-known English actor and television host for his appearances as Eddie in Early Doors, Howard in Northern Lights, and Martin Pond in Barbara.

Benton also appeared in the 2011-2014 school-based drama series Waterloo Road on BBC One as maths teacher Daniel “Chalky” Chalk. 

Benton participated in Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and presented The Edge’s daytime game program in 2015.
